Mossi Nduwumwe Fires Singida Black Stars to Victory Over Namungo

Mossi Nduwumwe continued his fine scoring run as Singida Black Stars beat Namungo 1-0 in the Mainland Premier League at Airtel Stadium in Singida.

The Burundi attacking midfielder scored the only goal of the match in the 68th minute after an assist from Cirille Ande.

The win moved Singida Black Stars to 38 points. They remain fourth in the table, five points behind third-placed Azam, who still have one game in hand.

Nduwumwe keeps scoring

Nduwumwe has now scored in three straight league matches.

He scored twice on May 5 when Singida Black Stars beat Pamba Jiji 3-1. He then added two more goals in a 4-0 win over Mtibwa Sugar.

His goal against Namungo made it five goals in his last three matches.

All those three matches were played at home, where Singida Black Stars have enjoyed a strong run.

Nduwumwe now has eight league goals this season. He is currently Singida Black Stars’ top scorer.

Singida Black Stars stay in top-four race

The result keeps Singida Black Stars in fourth place as the race near the top of the table continues.

Their win over Namungo was built on another big moment from Nduwumwe, who has become one of the team’s most important attacking players.

His recent form has also put him in the same conversation as Simba midfielder Clatous Chama, who has also produced strong numbers in three straight matches.

Chama scored once in Simba’s 2-2 draw with Yanga. He then scored the goal that gave Simba three important points against JKT Tanzania.

In Simba’s next match, Chama scored and also gave an assist in a 4-0 win over Tanzania Prisons.

Yanga’s Allan Okello also has a chance to continue a similar run. He has scored in his last two matches and could extend that form against Dodoma Jiji.

TRA United held by JKT Tanzania

In another match played on Tuesday, TRA United drew 1-1 with JKT Tanzania.

TRA scored first through Joseph Akandwanaho in the 20th minute. JKT Tanzania equalised through Salum Hamis in the 30th minute.

The result took TRA United to 34 points. They are sixth in the table, two points behind JKT Tanzania.

The draw also continued TRA’s strong home record at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha against clubs from Dar es Salaam.

No Dar es Salaam team has managed to win there against TRA United this season, according to the match details provided. Simba and Yanga both drew there, while Azam and Singida Black Stars lost at the same venue.

TRA forward Ramadhani Chobwedo also continued to show his attacking quality in the match.

For Singida Black Stars, though, the main story was Nduwumwe again. His latest goal gave them another important win and strengthened his place as the club’s leading scorer this season.
